We have copies of the booklet put out by the HRC called “Buying for Equality - 2008 ” and we bring them to the meetings. If anyone is interested in a copy, just show up at our next PFLAG meeting and its yours. It lists the companies with good, medium and rotten ratings so you have a good idea who you want to spend your money with.

Of course the threats and mailings are way out of line and to be condemned, those are the rantings of a lunatic few.
But for those ministers to suggest they not be called to task for spreading lies and hate is just hypocritical in the extreme. They want the freedom of speech to spew lies, but suggest we not exercise our right to call them liars.
Not going to happen.
The flip side of freedom of speech is dealing with those who are willing to challenge you with theirs.

Just a brief explanation; the intention was to defend Gay rights (no matter how they’re portrayed), as opposed to what religious bigotry would allow us to believe, or act upon for that matter. This is just an Atheists’ point of view, set into a comedic context.

Well this morning I checked for an update and the numbers are changing. Yes votes have a total of 5,682,788 votes so far and NO votes have climbed to 5,193,623 votes. The state says that this is 52.3% for Yes and 47.7% for NO. Were gaining! This seperates us by 489,165 votes. Let’s keep the faith.
